| Summary: | Error during installation | ||||
| Description: | I am new to DVDInfoPro. I downloaded the latest version 6.028 from your website and attempted to install it. The installation appeared to hang so I terminated and deleted two (?) log files that had been placed in the installation directory. When I tried to reinstall, I got a message "Error opening file for writing". I tried rebooting and reinstalling but I still got the same message. Attached is a snap of the error message. | ||||

| Summary: | Multiple Burns in One Session Crash | ||||
| Description: | Found while burning a set of discs that if multiple burns occur in one execution of the program, system resources are exhausted and the program will eventually die. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce: | collect 4 .ISO images. Drag and drop image one in MagicBurn. Burn ISO image to DVD. Delete ISO image from MagicBurn file list. Repeat with the other 3 .ISO files. Eventually, system will slow down and MagicBurn will begin to stutter (exhausting input buffer repeatedly). Continued execution beyond this point shows that MagicBurn will become unstable. Exiting MagicBurn and restarting appears to resolve the issue. | ||||
| Additional Information: | Test system description: CPU: Intel I7 920 RAM: 6GB DDR3 System Disk: Western Digital 300GB VelociRaptor Work Disk: Seagate 1.5TB Barracuda X 2 DVD Burning Drive: Plextor BD-R PX-B940SA DVD Testing Drive: Lite-On iHAS424 X 2 Normally, resources on this system are not a problem. This is the first time I have had an insufficient resource problem since I put this system together 18 months ago... | ||||

| Summary: | Problem adding files to burn | ||||
| Description: | There appear to be three methos by which files can be added to the list of file to burn. 1. Use the Wizard 2. Ignore the wizard, and use the green PLUS icon 3. Drag and drop the files/folders onto the list area. I could not make either of the first two methods work. The SELECT button keps flickering, but none of the files/folders I selected were added to the list. In contrast, when I used drag and drop, it worked fine. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce: | As noted above | ||||
| Additional Information: | Possible I have a setting wrong. If so that's good news. However, if that is the case then perhaps we should be looking for a more intuitive method? | ||||

| Summary: | Not setting .iso default association | ||||
| Description: | When I have a program that I like to use for a function, I like to make it the default for that file type. After installing MagicBurner, I right-clicked on a .iso file to make MagicBurner the default app for that file type. MagicBurner is not listed. I selected 'other programs'. MagicBurner is not listed. Not sure if this is intentional, but looks like an oversight in the installation/setup. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce: | Start on a windows 7 x64 system without MagicBurner installed. Double-click on a .iso file and the default application (e.g. Nero) should be launched. Install MagicBurner. Rignt-click on a .iso file. Select 'open with'. Look for MagicBurner in the recommended programs list. When not found, click on 'other programs' and note that MagicBurner is not listed there either. | ||||

| Summary: | Program not retaining settings from one execution to the next. | ||||
| Description: | When running MagicBurner, it will launch with a set of defaults checked. If the default values are changed, I would expect that the next time I run the program, the same settings are in effect until I change them. This behavior would imply the presence of a 'restore defaults' button so installation defaults may be restored. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce: | Launch MagicBurner. Change any setting (e.g. change burn speed from auto to 4x). Run the program. Exit. Re-launch MagicBurner. The setting that was changed in the previous execution has reverted to the previous setting (e.g. burn speed is auto). | ||||
